Check out this trailer that the Rutgers Film Bureau has created about their new exciting project:Destination Unknown: Our Changing Planet

The Rutgers Film Bureau in the Mason Gross School of the Arts, in partnership with the Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, the Rutgers Climate Institute and the Liberty Science Center, is creating a multi-platform climate science film series entitled Destination Unknown: Our Changing Planet and Summer Science Filmmaking Academy.

Our research group is one of many that have partnered with the Rutgers Film Bureau in this effort.

Climate change stories will be documented by Rutgers Film Bureau undergraduates, faculty and staff featuring at least 16 scientists and social scientists during their field research at locations in the U.S. and on five continents. Products of this research will include developing best practices for engaging youth of two age groups in science learning through the process of documentary filmmaking.

Short science films will be co-produced by undergraduates for distribution via New York/New Jersey PBS stations and PBS Learning Media as well as a one-hour documentary intended for national broadcast. Final products also include an interactive Destination Unknown website allowing visitors to travel to 10 Climate Hotspots and view films made by summer Science Film Academy participants
