Arctic Hydroclimatology Research Laboratory

Why We Do It!

Welcome to the Arctic Hydroclimatology Research Laboratory, We study hydrology and climate in the Arctic region. In this region,  observations of accelerated ice sheet mass loss, declining sea ice cover and thawing ground suggest a rapidly changing system. Some of these changes may have global implications, for example in the form of raising sea level from the melting Greenland ice sheet.

We are located at the Department of Geography at Rutgers University.

Melting point Greenland documentary, aired 12/23/2012 on CCTV America.
